Placement PLACEMENT 

This technique involves placing the subject of the photograph off to the side of the frame and away from the center of the picture. This forces the viewer to move completely around the picture frame. This was taken from Coyote Hills

Leading Lines LEADING LINES

Using lines, pathways, or curves leads the viewer to the subject of the photograph. These leading lines create a sense of depth in the picture. This was taken at Lake Elizabeth.

Framing FRAMING

Framing involves using elements at the side or bottom of the photograph to set off or isolate the main subject. This was taken at Coyote Hills.

Triangle Composition TRIANGLE COMPOSITION

This involves choosing a subject with three elements positioned so that lines drawn from one element to the others form a triangle taking up much of the photograph. This was taken at Coyote Hills.
